WTF

Well , March 22, 2021, I was let go from my school job. The laundry list was long, but the assistant super had convinced the super I needed to go. Ok things happen for a reason. So maybe I’ll see someday. Good Fuckin’ Riddance!

I have now had 4 surgeries to try and fix my leg. I’m currently awaiting a 5th and hopefully final surgery.

Been trying to sell mother-in-laws house for almost two years now. There is a property line issue, and Covid killed the property owners next door, so we’re dealing with their heirs, who think we’re cheating them, so we have to go to a judge to have it settled. Covid didn’t get the right people. Some people should just be chased down and eaten by a bear!

As I reflect on the upcoming thanksgiving holiday, and wonder what there is to be thankful for, I remembered this from grandpa Leonard. Sorry if it’s already on here lower down.

“A pig drank a gallon of milk before he started, ran a mile and then he farted. The farther he runs, the faster he gets. How far will he run before he shits? A farmer laying in the grass, raised his head as the pig ran past, said “If he keeps a tight ass and all of his wits, he’ll go ten miles before he shits!””

I’m working on being the grandpa he was to me, to my little Vinnie. They haven’t filed a restraining order yet!

 The Uncle P Way.

I have finally found how to get back into this thing. Even more has happened since last I penned a misguided rambling.

First. I'm a grandpa. My youngest daughter had my first grand son on January 7th 2020. He is now just over a year old. I am already doing my best to spoil him and to corrupt his way of thinking. He's just at that stage where he's really vocal but not saying a lot of words yet. I love it when he comes to visit or stay with us but we also love it when he goes back home at the end of the visit. He doesn't always sleep well at night. But soon enough, he will be ready form my twisted stories as passed on to me by my grandpa.

The next biggest thing was I broke my leg May 29th 2020 and have had three surgeries on it since then. I was off work till mid January 2021. I am still not fully healed, and currently still taking physical therapy several times per week, but I have been sent back to work without restrictions. Not sure how much better I'm going to get. I go for a checkup tomorrow and am hoping there are no more surgeries. My fibula is still broken, or it was on my last checkup, and connected with a wire. My Tibia has a new metal rod inserted in it with a box of screws on each end and some plates on the ankle area. I was on a 10' ladder, making repairs to some cabling, when the ladder decided it could no longer hold me up that high and decided to twist and turn and throw me off of it in the process. Strange part was, I had just taken my first step down when it let go.

All of my social club activities have been on hold with the pandemic, and now its even worse as the place has been closed for a month with no water. The bright side is I have been invited to install the new offices in Mesquite Tx on April 10th, 2021 and I was invited to judge the national competition in Tampa Fl. July 1-7, 2021. Got my first COVID vaccine on March 4th and my follow up is scheduled for April 1st, so I will be fully vaccinated and ready to go. Mom and Dad are already fully vaccinated, and wifey, and two of my kids will be by the end of March. My youngest is the hold out. She doesn't trust the vaccine or the companies who made it, along with most other things in the world now of days.

If I can ever find an app to get this back on my phone it would be so much easier. There's still hope!!!

Well this just makes my Day!

A lot has happened in the 2 years since I last posted. The biggest is that my app on the iPad stopped working and has not been updated, so I have struggled with it. I have had so many different thoughts recently, I just do not know where to begin.

This past summer my team that I coach to speak and walk and talk, and all the parliamentary procedures of what we do, actually won our national contest. Now This year in order to field a team to defend our title, I have become a competitor as well as the coach.

This past Saturday we held our major fundraiser. This is the first in a couple of years, since everyone was upset about how the last deal turned out. It seems to have went well. I don't have a final figure yet, but it was attended better than I thought it would be.

I know have worked for 5 different Superintendents ( 4 people total) since I started working here 6 years ago. The board hired the original guy, who hired me, back from retirement when they fired the last Super. He was here till the new guy was hired and took over, so I count him twice. Also this year is the end of Digital Media here, or as I like to refer to it, "Defense Against The Dark Arts" ( all you Harry Potter fans know what I'm talking about.) There have been 5 teachers teach that class in the 6 years I have been here as well.

We lost my Mother-In-Law Sept 10th, 2018 from complications of COPD. This has been a very bad deal so far, and I have an idea what it will be like when I loose my own folks, but I am hopeful that will be a long way off yet. I went to them and just asked that they put everything where we can find it. They went way beyond that and drew up new wills, made all final arrangements and covered everything. I am still dreading that day and do not ever look forward to it.

Now that I have managed to find a way back in to post again, I will try to not be so long between. Now if I can just fix the darn app on the iPad....

All Things Considered

I think I am back after a hiatus. My Blogger app was acting goofy and wouldn't allow me to write more than a line or two before it just went away. Trying a new app to see if I like this better.

A lot has happened since I was here last. The boy is now a licensed driver. My insurance rates are officially in the " fuck -you-in-the-ass-with-no-lube category because of it. He is a safe, cautious driver, at least when I am with him. The youngest, still has a permit, even though she will be 17 Christmas Eve. She has no intention of driving at this time. Especially since her brother can now be her chauffeur.

I coach a team that competes by speaking their parts verbally. To say that I speak clearly and concisely would be correct, and even a bit of an understatement. That makes the next part all the more unbearable.
Ok, McDonald's sucks to be sure, and I have the worst in the chain here in town.

Technology

My blogger is acting up. When I get it fixed, I'll be back.

Disconnected thoughts.

Got a Skeeter on my Peter, knock it off!
Got a Skeeter on my Peter , knock it off!
There's a dozen in my fuzzin' ,
Can't you hear them bastards buzzin',
Got a Skeeter on my Peter, knock it off!

Just woke up remembering this from childhood. Was wondering what happened to my kids. They are so far behind. Today, I was speaking with my son, and was talking about calling a friend named Dick. I said, "I just need to get ahold of Dick." And my son zinged out, "Just reach down your pants!"

There may be hope for him yet!

Me Muddah!

This morning while making coffee, I was reminded of another phrase or saying my grandpa, Leonard had.

" Who pulls me from my nice, warm bed, and spanks my ass until it's red? Me Muddah!
Who wakes me from my nice, warm cot, sits me on a ice cold pot, makes me pee wether I have to or not? Me Muddah!"

I'm sure there was more to this, but I can't remember it right now.

This coming July 25th, 2016, Leonard would have turned 99. George Gaynes, who played Commandant Lassard in Police Academy, will turn 99 on May 17th,2016. Yes he is still alive at the time Of this writing. While it isn't impossible for Leonard to still be with us physically, he is still with us mentally and emotionally. For a Christmas gift to my mother,  Justin made her an OU plaque, wrapped in brown paper and containing Leonard's poem about Joe Baker. ( listed earlier in my blog history) . There are days I wonder if Justin isn't Leonard, reincarnate. Although I think Justin may have been on the Titanic in a previous life. He has always had an unusual fascination with that boat.

Have a great 2016.
